Once again, people are not getting mobile internet for using social media and some other communication apps on mobile phones in Dhaka. Similarly, there were complaints of not getting broadband internet in Paltan area.

However, no immediate response was received from the mobile operators or broadband internet service providers. Later, the mobile operators said that the authorities have stopped the mobile internet. They are in touch with the authorities for further instructions. Broadband operators, on the other hand, have confirmed that they have not shut down the network.

According to sources, the 4G network was shut down again after 12 noon on Sunday on the orders of a government agency. The 4G network will remain down until further notice, the company said on Saturday. Mobile internet cannot be used when 4G is off. Then you can only talk through 2G. An hour later around 1:00 PM, the IIG institutions were verbally instructed to shut down the Cache servers of Meta. But broadband internet is still active.

State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak has claimed that the internet has not been shut down. He said, we have not stopped the internet anywhere. I did not give any order to stop. Somewhere there is a problem with the internet. It is not because of our direction.

Claiming that terrorists are attacking many installations of fiber optic cables and internet management, the state minister said that attacks are going on in many places. Fiber cable is being cut. Even today we have been set on fire in a few places. Many areas have been cut off. It is not possible to provide uninterrupted internet if such violence is carried out.

In one round of demands, the non-cooperation movement and the counter-program are being created in the second round of BTS-based obstacles in the use of this 4G network.

There are more than 12 crore mobile internet users and 2 crore broadband subscribers. 7.57 percent of the total population is using broadband internet. The average broadband users in the country is 12 percent.
